Preston North End held the Clarets to a 0-0 draw in a heated Lancashire derby this weekend.
While Scott Parker’s side is currently unbeaten in 22 league and cup games and hasn’t conceded a goal in 1,000 minutes of play, they have lost ground in the race for the top two places.
Burnley will face the Owls, who are now ninth in the Championship table and three points behind the play-offs, live on Sky Sports. Danny Rohl’s squad was defeated 2-1 at home by Coventry City last time out.
Parker has Josh Brownhill back after the midfielder returned from a four-game sabbatical over the weekend.
Enock Agyei and Nathan Redmond have both returned from injury, however they did not play against Deepdale.
Both teams have some injury problems to deal with going into Friday night’s game, so here’s an early look at the squad news for both sides:
1. Jordan Beyer (Burnley) – out
The defender remains a long-term absentee despite recently returning to training following a second operation on his meniscus (knee) injury, which has kept him out of action since December 2023.
2. Luca Koleosho (Burnley) – doubt
Back in training but faces a race against time to be fit after missing Burnley’s last five games with a knock he picked up in training before the trip to Portsmouth.
3. Aaron Ramsey (Burnley) – out
Making good progress in his recovery from a serious knee injury, which he suffered back in February of last year. But not quite ready just yet.
4. Mike Tresor (Burnley) – out
Despite making a recent return against Reading in the FA Cup, Tresor is believed to remain injured and will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
