Stoke City squad in full as Mark Robins weighs up best XI for run-in

Stoke City squad in full as Mark Robins weighs up best XI for run-in

Mark Robins is hoping to welcome more players back from injury as Stoke City fight to climb up the Championship table

With Million Manhoef and Jordan Thompson rejoining the party over the weekend, Mark Robins can now call upon

all but two of his 23-man Stoke City senior squad.

Thompson, who underwent hernia surgery and hadn’t started a game since October, filled in at left-back on

Saturday. Manhoef, who had been sidelined since mid-December due to a knee injury, came off the bench to help

seal a 3-1 victory over Swansea.

While Ryan Mmaee is still recuperating from a hamstring injury he sustained prior to returning from loan at Rapid

Vienna, Eric Bocat, who sustained a calf injury during the warm-up for Robins’ first game as manager back in early

January against Plymouth, is not yet available under Robins but is on the verge of making a comeback.

Sam Gallagher, Lynden Gooch, and Ben Wilmot are among the other senior players whose game time has been

restricted by injury under Robins. Frank Fielding has remained on the sidelines, Enda Stevens has missed the

previous two games, and Andre Vidigal has been out. It was Ben Pearson’s first start in eleven months.

Additionally, Stoke’s senior party, which was submitted to the EFL during the January transfer window and includes

25 allotted spots, does not have to include 31 committed players who are 21 years of age or younger.

Along with Jaden Dixon, Favour Fawunmi, Sol Sidibe, Tommy Simkin, Freddie Anderson, and Darius Lipsiuc, that

list also includes Bae Junho, Bosun Lawal, Nathan Lowe, Junior Tchamadeu, and Emre Tezgel.

Regardless of age, loan players are included in the senior squad. Although he has moved to Ireland to join Finn

Harps, Dara McGuinness is still mentioned. Following a trial at Stoke in January, Charlie Warren, a player for

Felixstowe and Walton United, is also on the list but did not sign.
