Man United ‘eye surprise swoop for Ipswich Town star’ as Rasmus Hojlund slammed
The club’s former head scout claims that Liam Delap has emerged as a “surprise” candidate to join Man United from Ipswich in the summer.
The 22-year-old’s age and playing style have put him on their list of targets, according to Mick Brown, who played for the team for more than ten years at Old Trafford at its most prosperous time and is still very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider.
But there are doubts regarding his ability to boost Ruben Amorim’s squad right away or whether they would rather have a more experienced choice.
This comes after Football Insider reported on February 10 that Chelsea and United are keen to acquire the striker in the summer if Ipswich is demoted.
Kieran McKenna’s team is now in 18th place in the Premier League standings, two points clear of safety, and they still have a chance to survive.
Many at the Etihad have been impressed by the striker’s growth since moving on, and Man City has also been linked to him because of a buy-back clause in his contract.
