Ipswich Town: Julio Enciso, Leif Davis and Sam Morsy injury updates.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna delivered an injury report on Julio Enciso, Sam Morsy, and Leif Davis following this afternoon’s hard-fought 1-1 draw at Aston Villa. Left-back Davis, who had previously been a fixture in the Premier League, and captain Morsy were both absent from the Villa Park team. Enciso, a frustrated Brighton loanee, then limped off the pitch in the 17th minute. “Julio is down the side of his knee, so we’ll have to wait for assessment,” McKenna told us. “Samy, we lost early in the week – hopefully not too badly. It’s a minor irritation in his abdomen region.
“Leif was quite late yesterday, so Conor (Townsend) had to come in at short notice. I won’t discuss too much medical information with Leif, but it’s a minor injury.” Town, who are now 18th in the Premier League rankings, are preparing for a home game against Tottenham next Saturday.
