Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has said Anthony Musaba is getting ‘closer’ to returning from injury.
Sheffield Wednesday have been without the winger since January. SWFC will now assess him over the coming days as they prepare to face Burnley on Friday.

The Owls lost 2-1 at home to Coventry City over the weekend. They conceded a last-gasp goal against the Sky Blues at Hillsborough.
Rohl has shared this update on Musaba, as per a report by The Star: “We were closer, then he felt it a little bit more, so we reduced it (his comeback schedule). But it all goes exactly in the right direction. He has showed me he is ready, so I made the decision. It looks good, but it was important he didn’t have too much load. For a winger, you have a lot of sprints and for this you need a strong body. I felt he needed more training sessions and for next week he will get this.”
He said: “He looks good. Yesterday (Friday) he made a huge step forward and trained with the team in a small group. It was then for me a final decision whether to risk him or give him one more training week. I am convinced he will be back next week.”

Sheffield Wednesday injury update regarding Anthony Musaba
Getting Musaba back against Burnley will be a big boost for Sheffield Wednesday.
He gives the Owls more competition and depth in attack and his pace and power can cause problems for opposition defenders.

The 24-year-old, who is a former Holland youth international, made the switch to South Yorkshire back in 2023.
He linked up with Sheffield Wednesday under their former boss Xisco Munoz.
Musaba has since made 74 appearances in all competitions and has chipped in with 11 goals, seven of which came in his first year.

The forward has also had spells in the past at NEC Nijmegen, AS Monaco, Cercle Brugge, SC Heerenveen and FC Metz.
He has adapted well to life in England and will be itching to return.
What now for Sheffield Wednesday?
Sheffield Wednesday will be disappointed after their defeat against Coventry City and will want to bounce back with a positive result at Burnley.
The Clarets have kept 11 clean sheets in a row though so will be tricky opponents.
