Everton looking to sign ‘wonderful’ 11-goal English gem who’s been on Manchester City’s transfer radar

After the club was fully acquired by the Friedkin Group in December, fans had hoped for a busy midseason window.

Only Carlos Alcaraz, on loan from Flamengo in Brazil, ultimately joined the team.

In the end, Everton remained cautious of PSR, and Moyes did not want funds to be wasted on players who would not necessarily help the team.

In the summer, however, things will be different, and Moyes is expected to get a sizable transfer budget from The Friedkin Group.

Fans should anticipate new players as many players may be going because their contracts are up.

Additionally, the team is now interested in a highly regarded League One player.

Everton interested in signing Harrison Duncan

Harrison Duncan of Rotherham United is a player that Everton admires, according to Alan Nixon.

According to the journalist’s Patreon, Everton is trying to win the 16-year-old, who his manager Steve Evans has called “a wonderful, wonderful talent” (via Rotherham Advertiser).

You should be on the lookout for Duncan.

“There were so many scouts watching him,” Evans was quoted as saying earlier this season.

Some of the names on the list startled me because they belonged to major Premier League and Championship clubs.

“It says a lot about him that he was only four months past his sixteenth birthday and was able to go out, handle the situation, and play the way he did.”

Evans has also implied that Duncan, who has an outstanding 11 goals this season from center-half at the youth level, is a player in the vein of John Stones.

John Stones was, of course, acquired by Everton from Barnsley back in 2013. Jarrad Branthwaite, who has also been likened to Stones, is currently with the team.

Although Duncan has not yet made his Rotherham first-team debut, he may be on the verge of doing so after being named in their matchday squad for the midweek match against Blackpool.

Manchester City have been linked with Duncan

Duncan is regarded as a top prospect by many, thus Everton may try to recruit him.

However, Everton might have a difficult time acquiring him.

Evans has previously mentioned that he is being scouted by several Premier League teams, with Manchester City reportedly being one of them.

The Premier League winners were reportedly interested in the young player, according to a report by Alan Nixon earlier this season.

Nixon was also mentioned with showing interest in West Ham United.

Although it’s yet unclear which fortunate team will prevail, Duncan might be interested in the prospect of someday playing for a team with new owners in a brand-new stadium.
