Fabrizio Romano about Vinicius Jr’s Saudi move on X: Carlo Ancelotti’s press briefing stops short of ruling out winger’s Real Madrid exit

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is well-known for his forecasts and insider information on contract negotiations and transfer agreements, wrote on X (previously Twitter) regarding Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior’s ties to Saudi Arabia.

According to rumors, Vinicius Jr., a 24-year-old Brazilian winger, is leaving Real Madrid and Europe to play in the Suadi Pro League. The Riyadh-based team has chosen to follow Vini and their Jeddah-based rivals since Neymar chose to join his childhood team, Santos, from Al-Hilal. If Vinicius is willing to make the move, he has the potential to become the highest-paid football player in the world. In addition to paying him €1 billion over five years, Saudi Arabia has offered to appoint him as an ambassador for the FIFA World Cup in 2034.

Fabrizio Romano commented on the subject on Friday night amid rumors that Real Madrid had begun contract extension negotiations with their winger, who seemed surprisingly content despite Kylian Mbappe’s arrival from PSG. He cited Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, who spoke out about the future of his attacker.

Fabrizio claims that Ancelotti said he was unaware of his Bernabeau supervisors’ displeasure over the timing of the transfer controversy. According to the manager, Vini wanted to create history and was totally dedicated to Real Madrid. “I’m not interested in questions concerning Saudi or Vini. He wants to create history at Real Madrid and is content. Fabrizio Romano cited the Real Manager as saying, “That’s what I see.”

Real Madrid’s website featured a longer version of Ancelotti’s remarks. By stating that his player was highly driven, the manager reaffirmed his belief in Vinicius. He is unable to determine whether the transfer rumors are accurate or whether the Ballon d’Or winner would choose to leave Madrid, though.

Is it becoming old to hear about this? Indeed. Am I worried? No. Is he content? Indeed. We’re pleased with him, too. It is not a topic for discussion here. He doesn’t discuss that here, and neither do we. According to Ancelotti, Vinicius appears to be eager to demonstrate that he is doing the right things.

After his injuries, he’s only now beginning to restore his match fitness. He appears to be quite driven, especially after what he did to City. He made the difference in the contest, demonstrating how well he handled the pressure.
