Exclusive: Adam Wharton would be ‘huge’ signing for Tottenham.

Tottenham are considering acquiring Adam Wharton during the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider sources.

On the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke said that the 21-year-old fits the profile of a signing that “Spurs are looking at right now.”

Wharton is seen as having “huge potential to become a real top-class player” because he is young and English.

An interesting addition to the squad, he may potentially form a midfield partnership with Archie Gray for Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs signed Mathys Tel on loan with the option to purchase at the conclusion of the season during the January transfer window, but missed out on numerous other targets.

Tottenham failed to sign Palace’s Marc Guehi to improve their defense because to injuries. However, they may revisit discussions with the Eagles for Wharton in the summer.

Adam Wharton struggled this season.

Wharton has had a rough season due to injury, missing two months of activity following groin surgery.

The England international has just recently returned to play, but he is still regarded as a “top-class midfield operator.”

Wharton has only made 12 appearances this season in all competitions. He will now try to kick on after returning to the club during the 2-0 win against Manchester United on February 2nd.

Tottenham may struggle to recruit Adam Wharton.

Wharton may meet the Spurs’ requirements, but it may be a difficult transaction for them to complete.

According to reliable sources, Palace will not consider selling the midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2029, which gives Palace a strong negotiation position.

Palace are unlikely to accept many bids for the central midfielder until they are “too good to turn down.”
