David Moyes publicly voices what he’s not too happy with at Everton

Everton’s gap from the relegation zone now stretches to 10 points, as the Scotsman will hope to extend that with a win against Crystal Palace.

Peter Crouch has missed Moyes’ Everton, as an old-school feel has been brought back to Goodison Park in the final months of The Grand Old Lady’s activity.

However, something has bugged Moyes which he can’t promise anytime soon.

David Moyes voices what he’s not too happy with at Everton

After a quiet transfer window, Moyes didn’t want any more signings sanctioned as he was seemingly happy with the squad to fulfill the task of Premier League safety.

All signs are pointing to this happening, but Moyes himself doesn’t feel too happy with people making remarks that Everton have achieved their goal yet.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the meeting with Palace, the Everton boss toned down these claims.

I think it’s too early at the moment to use the word ‘safe’ because we are not safe,” Moyes said.

“It gives us a pretty good feeling but I don’t see us in a position of being completely safe because, with the squad the way it is, I feel it’s going to be quite difficult with what we’ve got left.”

The job is far from over for Everton in the Premier League

Moyes isn’t wrong with his query.

Despite morale being high around the Toffees camp at the moment, the job isn’t done with 14 games of the Premier League season remaining, but these next five games are a huge chance for Moyes to complete his task.

Some tricky away days coming up, with a trip to Wolves standing out being the club that looks like a real threat to Everton.

The Friedkin Group picked the right man in Moyes, but Everton are far from retaining their status in the top-flight yet.
