Aston Villa’s upcoming schedule of games against Ipswich Town, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Crystal Palace is very important. Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United are also potential opponents for the Villains.

While navigating the UEFA Champions League round of 16, Villa is attempting to move up into a top-four position before the season ends. Despite having a few injury setbacks, the Villans need everyone on the field.

In the first half of the FA Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur, defender Ezri Konsa pulled up. Konsa has struggled with persistent setbacks that have prevented him from progressing.

The 27-year-old, however, is working alone on the grass and might be available for selection in a week, according to Manager Unai Emery.

“Konsa, his injury is not a big injury, and he is starting to work individually on the field,” Emery stated (via Birmingham Mail). He should be able to play again in a week, hopefully.

Additionally, he should work on his skills and train with us to gain confidence. The next step is to train and play consistently and injury-free.

Emery claims that Amadou Onana could return to action in one to three weeks, although it is unclear when he will return.

The victory over Spurs was missed by the Belgian. After making a comeback from injury the weekend before, Onana is currently out again after Villa’s February 1 2-0 loss to West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ollie Watkins, a striker for Villa, is back in the squad for Ipswich after missing the team’s victory over Spurs over the weekend due to a groin injury. He will offer some offensive innovation and has been a huge miss.

Tyrone Mings has also returned to the Villa lineup following his recovery from a knee injury.

However, Konsa has joined the injury list, adding to Villa’s worries ahead of the pivotal match, while Pau Torres, Matty Cash, Onana, and Ross Barkley are still out.
