Régis Le Bris names the three Sunderland players who’ll return to the squad for Leeds United clash

Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris has issued an injury update ahead of the crunch clash with Leeds United

Régis Le Bris has stated that Romaine Mundle may return to the team against Leeds United on Monday night.

Mundle had been out with a hamstring injury since the 2-2 draw with Coventry City in November, but he returned to full training last week. Though Le Bris has stressed that Sunderland will be careful about his comeback after so much time on the sidelines, he could be ready to make an impact from the bench.

“It’s an option for us, we’ll see,” Le Bris stated.
“Now that we have so many players available, the selecting process will be difficult. “He should be available.”
Le Bris also stated that Alan Browne and Ian Poveda will be allowed to return to the squad. Browne played 45 minutes for the U21s on Tuesday night after suffering an injury in the same game as Mundle, and he should be on the bench against Elland Road.

Poveda was a surprising absentee owing to a minor internal disciplinary concern on Wednesday night, but Le Bris informed that the matter was settled and that the winger was available for selection on Monday night. Tommy Watson will return to full training next week.
