Firefighters tackle large waste blaze
In Sheffield, firefighters have been fighting a fire at a sizable home waste site.
At around 03:00 BST, crews were dispatched to Warren Street after receiving reports of a significant amount of
garbage burning at an industrial facility.
Over 20 firemen were despatched, with some anticipated to remain at the scene throughout the day, South Yorkshire
Fire and Rescue said.
The fire was “under control” and firemen were damping down, according to a spokeswoman.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place once the blaze was completely extinguished, they added.
