Ben Brereton Diaz has acknowledged that he has found a happy spot at Sheffield United and is still optimistic about his long-term future.
The Southampton player scored his second goal in the Blades’ triumph over Middlesbrough last night after rejoining the team on loan in January.
After his successful loan stint from Villarreal last season, the Chilean international is well-liked at Bramall Lane. However, he was unable to replicate that performance in the Premier League this time around, failing to score for the Saints.
However, he is back among the goals in the Blades’ red and white, and following their victory over Boro, he stated: “It’s a great place to be.” I can’t believe Bramall Lane. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but the guys have performed incredibly well this season, and the table doesn’t lie.
“I’m thrilled to be back here and help the Blades score goals. The performance was truly a collective effort. It’s excellent because we showed tonight that we can compete with the big boys, even though the last two games have been a little sloppy.
“Definitely,” Brereton Diaz said when asked if he had discovered a happy place in South Yorkshire. I enjoy working with the guys, the gaffer, and the entire team here. I’ll keep working hard and pushing game by game because of the wonderful atmosphere here. And we’ll observe the situation.”
