Oday Dabbagh update as Aberdeen’s new striker moves closer to debut at Dundee.
Aberdeen’s new centre-forward, Oday Dabbagh, has gone one step closer to making his Dons debut.
The 26-year-old attacker joined on loan from Belgian top-flight Charleroi on transfer deadline day last Monday, with the Reds acquiring the Palestine international on a deal that includes an option to buy in the summer if Dabbagh impresses.
Despite being at Pittodrie, Dabbagh did not play for Aberdeen in their 3-0 Scottish Cup fifth-round win against Championship Dunfermline Athletic on Sunday.
This was because the club was still waiting for its new attacker’s work visa.
The Press & Journal can reveal that the Dons have finally acquired Dabbagh’s work visa. He has been able to practice with his new teammates this week and will now be eligible to participate in Saturday’s Premiership match at Dundee’s Dens Park.

Aberdeen’s manager Jimmy Thelin may bring in ex-Kuwaiti Premier League golden boot winner Dabbagh to break their 14-game league losing streak.
The Dons have not scored in their past five Premiership games, but Millwall loan striker Kevin Nisbet broke his goal drought in last weekend’s cup match against the Pars.
