Sheffield United Swoop For Liverpool Pair Probably Dependent On Promotion

Sheffield United’s hopes of obtaining Liverpool talents Lewis Koumas and Owen Beck largely rests on gaining promotion to the Premier League this season, according to the Daily Mail.

Given that Chris Wilder’s team is ranked second in the Championship standings, the Blades are a strong candidate for promotion this season.

Liverpool youngsters Beck and Koumas are on Sheffield United’s list of players they want to add to their roster in the coming summer.

Beck, a left-back, signed a loan deal with Blackburn Rovers last summer and is a mainstay for the Championship team, who are also vying for promotion.

Additionally, Liverpool approved a loan period for Stoke City’s winger Koumas, who excels for them.

Both Koumas and Beck are wanted by Sheffield United, although any deal will depend on their ability to advance to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old Beck is on his fourth loan stint and will sign his last Liverpool deal in the summer.

At Anfield, Koumas is highly regarded, and it’s uncertain if the Reds will be prepared to let him go in the summer.

In order to do so, Sheffield United would probably have to dig deep and would require Premier League funding.
