Exclusive: Derby County, Hull City and Reading FC eyeing Doncaster Rovers star
After graduating from Arsenal’s youth academy, the 25-year-old tried out for Manchester United in the summer of 2021 before joining Doncaster.
During his tenure with the North London powerhouses, Olowu played on loan at Wealdstone in the National League and Cork City in Ireland, although he never made a senior appearance for the Gunners.
Even though he is a standout player for Grant McCann’s team, his contract at Eco-Power Stadium expires this summer, thus potential suitors can sign him for nothing.
The center-back, who joined Doncaster in 2021, has made more than 130 appearances for the South Yorkshire team and is a vital member of McCann’s team, which now holds an automatic promotion slot in League Two.
Although this season is Olowu’s and Rovers’ third straight season in the fourth division, the center-back has surely reached new heights.
In a fierce competition for the top three slots in League Two, his efforts in the fourth division have given Rovers a genuine chance to earn automatic promotion back to League One.

Olowu also had a particularly strong performance against Championship team Hull in last month’s FA Cup third-round victory. He also played well when Rovers lost to Premier League team Crystal Palace.
Clubs interested in signing him this summer on a free transfer will undoubtedly have been impressed by his performances against better opponents.
FLW can now confirm that League One play-off contenders Reading and Championship teams Hull and Derby are among the suitors in the market.
