McCoist, 62, disappeared after his childhood team failed to win the Scottish Cup.
Rangers were defeated by Championship team Queen’s Park Friday night, as Sebastian Drozd’s late score and Calum Ferrie’s heroics in goal held Gers out for 90 minutes.
It will go down as one of the most memorable Scottish Cup upsets.
But McCoist was not interested in discussing the incident, which will undoubtedly be spoken about for years to come.
His colleagues on talkSPORT attempted to reach him this morning to discuss the defeat and Philippe Clement’s future.
However, McCoist failed to attend.
The breakfast program was presented by Jeff Stelling, Gabby Agbonlahor, and Shebahn Aherne, known for her Celtic accent.
Agbonlahor was eager to reach McCoist to get his opinions on the game, but he stated that his friend was not answering his phone.
On broadcast, the Aston Villa hero stated, “I’ve been trying to look for Ally’s landline number.” Where are you at? He’s not answering his phone or cell. I’m receiving his residence number and want to call him.
Despite Agbonlahor’s disappointment, his radio companion Stelling encouraged the audience to keep a watch out for the Ibrox icon.
He continued, “If anybody sees Ali McCoist, please let us know. Someone genuinely remarked, “I just delivered flowers.” Ally McCoist was not hiding there. He’ll keep his head down.
“Isn’t it one of the most humiliating experiences ever? Clement must be under significant strain.
Agbonlahor said frankly, “Unforgivable.”
Aherne further on Clement’s future at Ibrox, stating, “Going into the game, there was a lot of relief and it felt like many fans were behind Philippe Clément.”
“They advanced to the knockout stage of the Europa League.
“They are 13 points behind Celtic in the league and suffered their worst ever cup defeat at Ibrox.”
“There’s one job when you’re in charge of a club in Glasgow and that’s to beat the other half.”
She then concluded the debate by appealing for McCoist to do more.
She ended by saying: “Answer the phone Ali, we’re waiting for you.”
Stelling said, “Alistair McCoist, where are you?!” Please report any sightings of Ally McCoist. “Thank you so much.”
