Man rushed to hospital and another arrested after ‘serious assault’ in Morriston, Swansea.

A 41-year-old male was rushed to hospital after the incident at Heol y Deri, Cwmrhydyceirw, Swansea.

Police are investigating a “serious assault” that occurred in Swansea on Thursday. South Wales Police officers responded to an incident near One Stop on Chemical Road in Morriston about lunchtime.

According to police, the incident took place at Heol y Deri in Cwmrhydyceirw. A 41-year-old guy has been brought to the hospital, although his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Another 41-year-old male has been detained in connection with the event and is in police custody. Residents have been advised that a heightened police presence would be seen in the neighborhood while investigations are conducted. A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: “Officers are on the scene following a serious assault on Heol y Deri, Cwmrhydyceirw, Swansea, shortly before midday.” A 41-year-old male from Townhill has been admitted to the hospital. His injuries are not now considered life-threatening.

“A 41-year-old guy from Ynysforgan has been detained in connection with this event and is being held in police custody. The inquiry is now continuing. “There will be an increased police presence in the area while the investigation is underway.”
