Throughout the 2024 season, the Las Vegas Raiders kept an eye on Shedeur Sanders. The team was in the driver’s seat for the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and many predicted that they would select the Colorado quarterback.
Sanders has been linked to the Raiders since last year, and his father, Deion Sanders, reportedly told former head coach Antonio Pierce to choose his boys. However, Las Vegas won two of their last three games, dropping them to sixth in the draft order.
With a couple quarterback-needy teams picking ahead of the Raiders, acquiring the quarterback will be more tough now. Despite this, he continues to flirt with the Raiders.
Sanders was asked by CBS Sports to provide an emoji reaction to franchise logos for teams he could play for. He shared an eyes emoji with every other team, but the Raiders received a thinking emoji.
Sanders stated, “I’m trying to figure right here, but they gotta trade up,” in reaction to the Raiders logo. “… So I know it could happen, that’s why I put this.” For more information.
This attitude surprised many people, given how much he had already flirted with the idea of visiting Las Vegas. He’s had to back off his evident infatuation with the Raiders, but it appears that he still has the team on his mind.
It’s unclear what head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek will do, but it’s no secret that the Raiders require a quarterback, and Sanders could be the best in the class. Read more…
