David Moyes delivers honest verdict on Carlos Alcaraz’s debut for Everton vs Bournemouth

David Moyes’ side fell two goals behind in the first half as Antoine Sementyo and Daniel Jebbison netted for the visitors.

Though there is no VAR at this point in the competition, there is some controversy because it has been revealed that Bournemouth’s penalty may have been offside.

As the jeers erupted throughout Goodison, Seamus Coleman was seen speaking with the referee after the game.

In any case, seeing Carlos Alcaraz make his debut for Everton was a terrific opportunity, regardless of the outcome.

Then, wearing a blue shirt, Moyes gave his assessment of his first performance.

After the game, Moyes gave his assessment on the rookie’s first minutes wearing an Everton shirt.

The 61-year-old remarked, “I was happy with what he demonstrated.” “He put forth a tremendous effort, and the free kick struck the post.”

Indeed, after smashing a curling free-kick off the post, Alcaraz came very close to scoring a memorable first goal.

Alcaraz also impressed Sky Sports commentator Paul Merson, who said he looked “very, very good.”

Alcaraz stats vs Bournemouth

Alcaraz made a really strong midfield cameo after entering the game in the 65th minute.

These are his outstanding stats according to Sofascore.

The Argentina international might start in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool in the middle of the week since he appears to be much more suited to the offensive midfield position than Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Alcaraz will fit in considerably more quickly than most foreign recruits thanks to his prior Premier League experience with Southampton.
