Vitalii Mykolenko will not play for Everton against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round.

The regular left-back for the Toffees is not included in the Goodison Park matchday roster. Since David Moyes took over as manager, Mykolenko has made 23 appearances for Everton this season and started each of the team’s four games.

However, Everton has announced that the Ukraine international is not playing as a precaution due to a calf injury. Rather, Ashley Young begins on the left side of defence.

Mykolenko is not the only full-back not involved, either. Nathan Patterson, who has come off the bench in the previous three games, is also omitted from the squad. However, the Blues have not stated why the Scotland international is missing.
