Premier League confirm Player & Manager of the Month winners for January.

Justin Kluivert has picked up the player gong

  • Justin Kluivert rewarded for stellar January with Bournemouth
  • Dutchman becomes second-ever Cherries player to win the award
  • Andoni Iraola makes it south coast double by winning manager prize

The Premier League Player and Manager of the Month award winners for January have been announced, with Bournemouth winning both after their remarkable run of success.

The first month of 2025 was a memorable one on the south coast, as Bournemouth grabbed ten points out of a possible twelve, including a point away at Chelsea before facing sensationally in-form Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

Justin Kluivert earned Premier League Player of the Month honors for the first time in his career. The Dutchman scored five goals for the Cherries, including a fantastic hat-trick, his second of the season, against St James’ Park.

“I’m so delighted,” Kluivert told Premier League Productions. “We’ve been working hard as a team, and helping them achieve so many objectives this month is an honor. “Winning this beautiful trophy is something special.”

Kluivert assisted Milos Kerkez’s goal against Newcastle, becoming him the first Bournemouth player to contribute directly to four goals in a single Premier League encounter.

“Stay humble and keep working hard,” he said when asked about the future. “That’s always the main thing, and the beautiful things just fall into place.” I know my strengths and what I can contribute to the team, and I know I can do much more, so I can’t wait to keep progressing.”

Kluivert’s success is mirrored by his manager, Andoni Iraola, who receives the prize for the second time in his career. The Spaniard has taken Bournemouth to seventh in the Premier League rankings, behind fourth-placed Chelsea by three points for the last Champions League qualifying berth.

Iraola is the sixth manager of the month this season, after Fabian Hurzeler in August, Enzo Maresca in September, Nuno Espirito Santo in October and December, and Arne Slot in November.
