A man in his fifties is in hospital with serious injuries following an incident that blocked the M6.
At around 5.20 a.m. this morning (5 February), police were alerted to an accident on the M6 northbound between junctions 32 and 33 involving a lorry and a van.
A man in his fifties was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries, and the M6 has been closed all morning and is expected to remain so ‘for some time’.
Police are looking for witnesses in relation to the incident.
A police spokesperson stated: “At 5:20 a.m. today, we were alerted to reports of a collision involving a van and a lorry on the M6 between Junctions 32 and 33.
“Officers responded, and a man in his 50s was brought to the hospital with significant injuries.
“The M6 Northbound between junctions 32 and 33 is currently closed and is expected to remain so for some time.
“If you witnessed this incident, have any dashcam footage or information that could help, please call 101 quoting log 132 of 5th February.”
