Derby County may be jealous of Nottingham Forest, Reading FC agreement
Derby County is one such team; during the winter, the East Midlands team only added four new players, while four others left for better opportunities elsewhere.
Throughout the month, the Rams’ most significant story was the £9 million transfer of Eiran Cashin to Brighton & Hove Albion. For the past year and a half, the Seagulls had been considering a move for the defender, and it was always a question of when rather than if.
Over the three years the academy graduate played in the Pride Park first team, fans had come to adore him, and they might have wished he would have finished the season in black and white.

Derby might be a little envious of Reading’s deal with Nottingham Forest, though, as the trade did not include a loan-back clause.
The Rams will benefit from having two natural center-backs fit ahead of the final stretch with to the arrivals of Matt Clarke and Sondre Langas. In previous weeks, they have had to improvise at the back on multiple occasions.
But having Cashin on loan for the remainder of the season would have greatly improved their chances of surviving. He now appears likely to play for Brighton in the Premier League, which is something he truly deserves.
However, Reading, a League One team, managed to get the young defender back on loan until the end of the season after losing Tyler Bindon to Nottingham Forest on deadline day.
The Royals had to deal with the loss of the New Zealand international to a team in a higher league during the January transfer window because he only had five months left on his contract at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
