Latest Stoke City news from StokeonTrentLive: game at CBS Arena will now be televised live on Sky TV.
Sky TV will show Mark Robins’ return to Coventry City from his new club Stoke City live.
Robins, who was fired by the Sky Blues in November after seven years in command, will face the Potters at the CBS Arena on March 8, with the game starting at 12.30pm rather than 3pm to allow for TV coverage.
On the first day of the season, Stoke defeated Sky Blues 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium, with Robins in charge and Steven Schumacher in the home dugout.
Robins has since become the Potters’ third manager of the season, after Schumacher was replaced by Narcis Pelach, who was fired after only 19 games. Former Chelsea, Derby and Everton manager Frank Lampard is presently in charge at the CBS Arena.
The Sky Blues are mid-table and have a slim chance of making the end-of-season play-offs after a turnaround under Lampard, despite being defeated 2-0 by leaders Leeds United on Wednesday.
Stoke won their first game under Robins at Hull City on Saturday, but they remain dangerously close to the drop zone in 18th place, only five points ahead of third-from-bottom. Derby County
Another game changed to Sky TV coverage is Stoke’s home game against play-off contenders Blackburn Rovers, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12. The new kickoff time has yet to be verified. The opposite fixture at Ewood Park was won by Stoke City 2-0.
Meanwhile, Stoke’s home game against Middlesbrough, which was supposed to be played on Saturday, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25 (7.45pm kickoff). The Potters are now in FA Cup action against Cardiff City (3pm).
