Ipswich Town: Jesse Nwabueze signs for Bath City.
Jesse Nwabueze, a youngster who just left Ipswich Town, has signed a permanent contract with National League South club Bath City. The 21-year-old attacker joins the Blues in 2020 following a trial after leaving Crystal Palace’s junior system. Nwabueze went on to play regularly for the Under-18s and Under-21s, but injury setbacks limited his development. He also had loan spells at Bury Town and Stowmarket. He played for Kieran McKenna’s team in a pre-season friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk in Austria last summer.
The academy player has now joined Darren Way’s team after training with the Romans over the last three weeks. They are presently ranked 18th in the sixth tier. Nwabueze made his debut for the club on Tuesday, when they defeated Chelmsford City 2-1 at home.
