‘He can have a laugh’—Bree’ opens up on new boss Juric’s management style

Juric, a former Torino and AS Roma player, came to the club with a reputation for honesty and hard effort, which he has carried over to St Mary’s. Under Juric, a number of players who were signed by prior manager Russell Martin have seen a decline in playing time.

Bree has started the last seven games, although players like Paul Onuachu, Lesley Ugochukwu, and Kamaldeen Sulemana have also recovered. According to Staplewood employees, Juric is “polite and respectful” in his managerial approach. 27-year-old Bree provided insight into this.

“It is obvious that the play is very, very, very different. Actually, it’s probably the opposite. We all obviously adored Russ while he was here,” Bree acknowledged. “With Ivan joining the team with fresh strategies, a different coaching style, and other things, we were all very connected to him and remain close as a group.

“He’s a good man. Very direct. Most likely not as close and amiable as Russell was with the lads, but I believe we could use a little “shaking up.” He prefers to play in a straightforward and aggressive manner, which I believe clearly works for some of the lads.

“He has both sides as well,” Bree continued. He is capable of being both humorous and grave at the same time. We haven’t experienced a bad b….That’s not how I can express it. We hope we won’t have to receive a serious reprimand like that because we haven’t yet.”

After winning their first game under Juric at Ipswich Town, Bree maintains that Saints think they have a chance to stay in the Premier League. “Yes, absolutely. In order to escape this predicament, we will continue to attempt until the very end,” he declared.

“We understand that this is a difficult request, but we are not that far away. We shall continue since the difference is now seven or eight points. We will not give up until the absolute end.
