In a video posted by the team on Tuesday, Marshall Munetsi, a recent addition to Wolverhampton Wanderers,
gave a positive assessment of teammate Emmanual Agbadou, with whom the Zimbabwe international played at
Stade Reims.
In the video, Munetsi—who joined the Old Gold on deadline day after joining from Reims in a reported £17 million
deal—jokingly asks whether he may join his former teammate on the training squad. Munetsi signed a three-and-
a-half-year contract with the Old Gold.
“Please put me on the same team as Agbae for every training session,” Munetsi requests. He is a man of strength.
He will give you his all, that’s one thing about him. He never lacks motivation.
Munetsi’s former team-mate could be key in the relegation battle
Following Agbadou’s 2022 transfer from Belgian team Eupen, Munetsi was obviously thrilled to be reunited with
his former Stade Reims teammate, with whom he shared a dressing room for three years.
The 27-year-old defender played 95 games for Reims, primarily with Zimbabwean midfielder Munetsi, whose
arrival was revealed late on deadline day. He joined Wolves during the January transfer window and has already
made four appearances for his new team.
They have faced Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar together on numerous occasions when the three well-
known forwards played for Paris Saint-Germain, so Munetsi, who had been with Reims for six years after joining
from South Africa’s Orlando Pirates, may not have been overstating Agbadou’s capacity to handle the best in the
world.
