Blaze at Everton women’s football team stadium started deliberately
Firefighters responded to a fire at the Everton FC women’s football team’s Walton Hall Park home stadium. According to investigations, the fire was ignited on purpose.
Tonight, a fire that spread to a stand at the Everton women’s football team’s home stadium was intentionally set.At 6:23 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to Walton Hall Park, the location of the stadium, in response to reports of a fire.
Thick plumes of black smoke rose into the air as two engines rushed to the site, where a football stand, scaffolding, and plastic netting were on fire.
One team remained to work on the fire, which was completely extinguished by 18:57.According to investigations, the fire was intentionally ignited. It is currently unknown how much damage has been done to the stadium and the stand.
According to The Echo, the club hopes that it won’t have an impact on Everton Women’s next match against Chelsea on Wednesday, March 17. It wasn’t until February 2020 that the Everton women moved into their new residence at Walton Hall Park.
