A tragic accident occurred in Birmingham, England, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including two children. The incident took place on Belgrave Middleway near Edgbaston at approximately 1:00 PM GMT. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, leading to a devastating scene that emergency responders described as “horrific.”
In one of the vehicles, three men lost their lives at the scene, while a fourth occupant was critically injured and transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. A taxi driver and his two passengers, a man and a woman, also died as a result of the crash. The taxi driver has been identified locally as Imtiaz Mohammed, a father of six who worked for Castle Cars.
The collision’s impact was so severe that it caused extensive damage to the vehicles involved. Emergency services, including West Midlands Police and ambulance crews, responded promptly to the scene. Despite their efforts, six individuals were pronounced dead, and several others sustained injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Superintendent Sean Phillips of West Midlands Police described the scene as “very harrowing” and emphasized the complexity of the investigation. He stated that it was too early to speculate on the cause of the crash and urged anyone with information to assist in the inquiry.
