Watford explored loan move for Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
Watford FC failed to sign Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont (26) on loan, reports Ouest-France.Lafont has been urged to look for a new club during the winter transfer window after sliding down the pecking order under Antoine Kombouaré. Swedish goalkeeper Patrik Carlgren is presently Anthony Lopes’ understudy in the Nantes goal. Nantes has been undefeated since the acquisition of Lopes as their No. 1 player.
Lafont has been removed from Nantes’ matchday roster since the beginning of the year. Watford apparently gave Nantes a way out for Lafont, but the teams were unable to reach an agreement about Lafont’s salary coverage.
