Sheffield United closing in on deadline day move for Nigerian winger

Christian Nwachukwu, a 19-year-old winger for Botev Plovdiv and Nigeria, is reportedly nearing a signing with

Sheffield United, the four-time Emirates FA Cup champions, according to Soccernet.ng.

In the Bulgarian Professional League, the adolescent is one of the most sought-after young players. The quick-footed

winger has contributed three assists and four goals this season in all competitions.

Nwachukwu is mostly a left winger, although he can also play through the middle and on the right, demonstrating

his adaptability and tactical flexibility.

As Botev Plovdiv fought for a spot in the UEFA Europa League, Christian Nwachukwu celebrated his goal against Maribor of Slovenia.

Sheffield United is trying to finalise a deal for two attackers before the England winter transfer window closes at midnight, according to the Telegraph.

Nigerian winger Christian Nwachukwu and Peruvian striker Jefferson Caceres are expected to join Chris Wilder’s team.

In 60 appearances with the Peruvian team FCB Melgar, Caceres has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists while

playing in South America. The 22-year-old is a left winger, just like Nwachukwu.

According to a number of reports, the two were signed mainly to provide depth to the squad rather than to be

selected for immediate first team play.

Sheffield United, who are presently two points behind league leaders Leeds United in second place on the EFL

Championships table, will stop at nothing to guarantee a spot in the top level at the end of the current campaign.

qualification for place in the UEFA Europa League.

Sheffield United’s acquisition of Nwachukwu demonstrates their focus on the future, as none of their previous

promising additions ever reached their full potential in the English Premier League.

Next up, Sheffield United hosts Portsmouth, the team that Kanu Nwankwo formerly played for, at Bramall Lane.

Pompey’s road record is especially bad, therefore the Blades will be hoping to win this game.

Nwachukwu might make his debut in that match if a deal is finalised in time. Portsmouth has only won two of their

last eight games.
