Police name Staffordshire woman who died as investigation continue
The name of a woman who died in Staffordshire that prompted a police investigation has been revealed. According to Staffordshire Police, the 46-year-old, also known as Pippa, passed away after ambulance crews called officers to her home on Devereux Gardens in Great Haywood, near Stafford, just after 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29. Her family is currently being supported by specialist officers.
Following Ms. Lewitt’s death, a Staffordshire Police spokesman confirmed that a man has been charged with violating a restraining order. The 50-year-old appeared at Newcastle-Under-Lyme Magistrates Court on Saturday, February 1, and was granted bail pending his next appearance at a time and date to be confirmed. A 24-year-old man from the Stafford area who was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of a controlled drug was granted conditional bail while police conducted their investigation.
