GM’s Blockbuster Trade Proposal Has Raiders Land $125 Million Superstar

The Las Vegas Raiders appear to be completely focused on winning soon. They hired the NFL’s oldest head coach, Pete Carroll, and recently made Chip Kelly the league’s highest-paid coordinator.

After the Raiders’ 2024 season finished, it appeared that they could embark on a thorough franchise reconstruction. Carroll appears to be aiming for an immediate victory. That might alter expectations for the offseason.

Everyone knows the Raiders need a quarterback, but they’re not easy to find. Carroll has a defensive background and may want to simply establish a defensive juggernaut.

The easiest method to accomplish this is to have an excellent defensive line. The Raiders are close to it with Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins, both of whom are Pro Bowl players.

However, the group’s performance could improve further. According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, one NFL general manager believes the Raiders would be an excellent fit for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.

“The Raiders should consider trading for Myles Garrett to pair him up with Maxx Crosby,” the general manager told Russini. This comes just after Garrett demanded a trade from the Browns.

He was the team’s top pick in 2017 and has been chosen to six All-Pro teams. The Browns are coming off a 3-14 season and have a dreadful quarterback situation, so it’s difficult to see how they’ll rebound quickly.

Myles Garrett’s future in the NFL is uncertain, but he was named Defensive Player of the Year last season and had a 14.0-sack season in 2024, earning him First-Team All-Pro status.

The Browns can expect a high return for Garrett, who is still considered one of the best defensive players in the world. However, Garrett is approaching 30 years old, which is a common age for defensive players.
