Exclusive: Leicester City block exit of player who is frustrated at King Power Stadium

According to L’Equipe, the 28-year-old is drawing interest from AS Monano, a French team interested in a loan move for the player.

The Premier League team, however, has prevented the player from leaving the King Power Stadium during the winter transfer window, according to Caught Offside sources.

The team feels that the player is essential to their chances of surviving in the Premier League, while Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s team feels that the player is too valuable for them to leave in the midst of the season.

The Nigerian international midfielder made 32 appearances, contributed five assists, and scored four goals to help the Foxes win the Championship last season.

He hasn’t had much playing time with the team in Premier League season, though.

Although Ndidi has only made 15 Premier League games thus far, the team still greatly depends on him because he gives them squad depth.

With two points separating them from safety in 18th place in the Premier League rankings, Leicester City believes it would be foolish to let an experienced player leave the team at this time in the season.
