Norwich City transfer news: Dylan Jones signs for U21s
Norwich City have completed the signing of former trialist Dylan Jones from seventh-tier side Plymouth Parkway.
The striker scored twice for the Canaries’ under-21s in Monday’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace and has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Carrow Road until 2027.
The Canaries also have the option to extend the contract for another year, having signed the 20-year-old following a trial with Premier League Brentford.
Jones, City’s second signing this week after Dundee United’s Alan Domeracki, will initially join the club’s developmental squad.
“It’s a privilege to play for such a great club,” Jones told City’s official channels. “The club’s history is fantastic, and I’m delighted to be a part of it. I can’t wait to see what the future brings.
“I’m athletic; I enjoy getting into the box and scoring goals. I’m quite direct when I get the ball; all I want to do is get to the goal as soon as possible.”
