Cardiff City and Hull City eyeing move for 22-year-old
Anthony Joseph, a reporter for Sky Sports, has stated that Aberdeen is another team interested in the Netherlands U21 international.
The 22-year-old Asante has made a number of appearances this season, despite spending a significant portion of it on the bench.
Hull, who have had a great January transfer window thus far, may be able to sign him.
Matt Crooks, Nordin Amrabat, Kyle Joseph, Eliot Matazo, Joe Gelhardt, Lincoln Henrique, and Louie Barry have all arrived at MKM Stadium, marking not only the offloading of surplus players but also the addition of a number of intriguing new players.
One of the more alluring names on this list is perhaps Loanee Barry, who excelled for Stockport County in the first half of the 2024–2025 season before being called up.
Despite being less active, Cardiff has been able to add some new players, as Yousef Salech and Sivert Mannsverk have both moved to the Welsh capital.
A central defender who might decide to go to the UK before the window closes on Monday night may suddenly be in their sights.
Asante has played in a lot of contests this season, and according to Joseph, both Cardiff and Hull are interested in signing him.
He has already established a respectable resume, which has attracted interest from Scottish Premiership team Aberdeen and English second-tier duo. He has also played in the Europa League and for his country at the young international level.

Given that the athlete still has two and a half years left on his contract in Israel and that his team has the option to extend it by an additional 12 months after that, it might take a sizable sum to get him to leave his current squad.
Asante would be a cheap addition given his contract circumstances.
He might be a little less expensive because he isn’t a league opponent of Maccabi’s, as the Israeli team might be less hesitant to trade him to a non-league rival.
However, interested teams could have to pay a fair price for him because he is still a highly good player for his present squad and will only get better.
Hull shouldn’t be seeking to make a move until the funds allow it, as they have already spent a good deal throughout this window.
Cardiff is in a similar situation.
