Rangers player with ‘exceptional’ pace backed for transfer success as he’s given licence to thrill after exit
Marcus Mann, the sports director of Hannover 96, has described the “exceptional” traits of Rabbi Matondo that have convinced him the Rangers star can lead the German team to victory. With the possibility of a permanent contract in the summer, the Welsh international has joined the German Bundesliga 2 team on loan for the second half of the season.Due to a combination of inconsistent play and injury issues, Matondo has only appeared in eight games for the Light Blues this season. After playing in the country with Schalke before joining Rangers in the summer of 2022, he now returns to a place he knows well.
The 24-year-old winger’s speed, quickness, dribbling skill, and long-range shooting power are some of his most potent assets, and Hannover manager Mann is certain the player will provide a significant offensive threat. “Rabbi took his first steps in professional football at a very young age, received an excellent football education, and has steadily developed himself and his game over the course of his career,” he said on the club’s official website.
He contributes abilities that will increase the depth and variability of our team. His acceleration and speed are undoubtedly remarkable. He is notable for his dribbling as well. He can be dangerous from a distance and has a strong drive for the goal.As he prepares for a new challenge, Matondo, speaking for the first time as a Hannover player after signing a contract, maintains that leaving Rangers to return to Germany seemed like the right decision.”I had a lot of contact with Salif Sane during my time at Schalke, and he told me a lot and only positive things about Hannover 96,” he said. Prior to our initial contact, I was well-informed about the club, and I sensed that 96 would be a perfect fit throughout our conversation.
“Just by looking at the stadium, you can see that it’s a big club with an exciting team and really good conditions.” Playing here is something I’m quite excited about. I’m incredibly driven to contribute to making sure we have a fantastic second half of the season and remain in the running for the top slots right up to the very end.”We can confirm that Rabbi Matondo has joined Germany side @Hannover96 on loan, subject to international clearance,” a Rangers statement said Thursday night. With the option to make the move permanent, the winger, who joined Rangers in the summer of 2022, will play the rest of the season with the Bundesliga 2 team. Everybody at Rangers hopes Rabbi has a successful loan.
