The 2024/25 Europa League group round concluded on Thursday, determining who will move to the knockout stages.

Manchester United won 2-0 against FCSB, making them the only team to finish the group stage unblemished and go to the last 16.

Despite losing 1-0 against Braga, Lazio ended first in the standings, ahead of Athletic Club on goal difference. The Italian and Spanish clubs finished with equal records: six victories, one tie, and one defeat for a total of 19 points.

An injury hitTottenham defeated Elfsborg 3-0, while Eintracht Frankfurt finished in the top eight despite a 2-0 loss to Roma, despite losing Omar Marmoush to Manchester City for €70 million.

Teams in the knockout phase include Bodo/Glimt, Anderlecht, FCSB, Ajax, Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, Roma, Ferencvaros, Viktoria Plzen, Porto, Midtjylland, Union Saint-Gilloise, AZ Alkmaar, PAOK, Twente, and Fenerbahce.

The following teams have been eliminated: Braga, Elfsborg, Hoffenheim, Besiktas, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Slavia Prague, Malmo, Rigas FC, Ludogorets, Dynamo Kyiv, Nice, and Qarabag.

Who meets in the play-offs?

Teams finishing ninth to 24th will compete in two-legged play-offs on February 13 and 20 to determine who advances to the last 16.

The draw will take place on Friday at 4 p.m., although clubs already know which sides they have a 50-50 chance of playing due to their final league rankings.

Teams also know the two teams they may face in the final 16 if they make it through the play-offs.

Fenerbahce or Twente will face Bodo/Glimt or Anderlecht, while Ferencvaros or Porto will play Roma or Viktoria Plzen.

Union Saint-Gilloise or PAOK face FCSB or Ajax, while AZ Alkmaar or Midtjylland may be drawn against Real Sociedad or Galatasaray.
