“I am in the right place” – Brighton player reveals transfer contact but staying with Seagulls
Joël Veltman of Brighton & Hove Albion has stated that he is content with his life at The Amex. Speaking to Voetbal Primeur, the Netherlands international has stated that everyone at Brighton values him. Veltman signed a contract with the Premier League team through the conclusion of this season after joining from Ajax in 2020. Voetbal Primeur, 33, asserts that the Seagulls have the option to extend it further and that they are likely to do so. “The contract still contains an option. We’ll see how we’re going to do this in the upcoming weeks. There’s no hurry. How do I personally see it? “Signing is a genuine option,” he stated.

Since Roberto De Zerbi was replaced by Fabian Hürzeler at Brighton last summer, the defender has kept his spot. This season, he made 19 appearances and claims to be in the “right place” with the English team. The Ajax veteran is amenable to completing his career at The Amex. Here, I’m really content. The owner’s gratitude for the players, staff, and volunteers is evident to me. I’m in the proper location. I consider this to be my second home. Throughout my career, I have resided in Brighton and Amsterdam,” Veltman said.
Although there have been no rumors of the player leaving Brighton in the winter transfer window, he has not ruled out leaving this window either. Before moving to Brighton, the Dutchman played for the Eredivisie team for 19 years. He spoke with Alex Kroes, the technical director of Ajax, last summer, but they haven’t gotten in touch with him since. I called Alex Kroes last summer. At that time, there was some contact. No contact has been made since. I understand how it operates. Just as there must be a place available, there must also be the funds. “They have my number, so they can call me if they really want it,” he continued.
