Horner comments on Red Bull’s ‘pivotal’ partnership with Ford

Oracle The 2025 season was introduced at the official Ford Performance event by Red Bull Racing in association with Ford, the title sponsor of Red Bull Ford Powertrains and the Red Bull Ford Academy Program.

Among them were Liam Lawson and Christian Horner.

They conveyed their enthusiasm for the forthcoming season and their hope for the team’s future.

The event was celebrated by more than 1,800 fans, partners, and media members in Charlotte, USA.

Oracle Red Bull Racing ambassador Josh Denzel hosted the event, which was their first time appearing together as a team.

Other guests included CEO Christian Horner, driver Liam Lawson, and Red Bull Ford Academy driver Chloe Chambers.

The 2026 power unit, which will power Oracle Red Bull Racing and the Racing Bulls, has been being developed by Ford Performance and Red Bull Ford Powertrains since February 2023.

Horner, Lawson, and Chambers regarding the partnership

“It’s great to be kicking off 2025 celebrating Ford Performance as we prepare for the challenges and changes coming to both Formula One and Red Bull in 2026,” said Horner, Red Bull’s team principal and CEO, during the event.

The team is in an extremely exciting period, and although the possibility of developing our own engine is a significant undertaking, our collaboration with Ford is essential to the project as a whole.

After 120 years of motor racing and development, Ford has a long and illustrious history and is widely associated with success.

That success and expansion are reflected in today’s launch.

Ford not only plays a key role in our powertrain journey, but they also model our commitment to fostering female talent by sponsoring the Red Bull Ford Academy Program.

As I say, it’s an exciting time.

It’s really special to kick off my 2025 with the Team at the Ford Performance Season Launch in Charlotte,” said Lawson, Max Verstappen’s 2025 teammate.

They are an iconic brand that I have long admired and a lot of fun and interesting to work with.

I drive a Ford Raptor R most of the time when I’m in the United States. Being a member of the Ford family now is unique because the brand is synonymous with motorsport culture both locally and globally.

As we prepare for 2026, I’m excited to see what amazing things we can accomplish together this season and what we are creating together.

“It is so much fun to be celebrating Ford Performance in my home country and it is an honor to be teamed up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford,” says Chambers, a driver in the Red Bull Academy Program, who will compete in F1 Academy with their support.

I am eager to compete in the first race in China as a driver for the Red Bull Ford Academy Program in the 2025 Formula One Academy Season.

It was a terrific way to begin my journey with Ford to drive in the Ford Mustang Challenge at the end of last year, and I am appreciative of all the support I have received thus far to help me reach my own professional objectives in motorsport.
