David Moyes set to hand ‘underperforming’ Everton player his first league start in 8 weeks vs Leicester City

Last weekend down on the south coast, David Moyes managed to score three more points with the Toffees.

However, Orel Mangala and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both sustained injuries, so the win over Brighton & Hove Albion was undoubtedly not without a price.

The midfield player is now expected to miss the rest of the season due to these two serious injuries.

With less than four days left in the transfer window, Everton has yet to add any new players for Moyes this month.

The 60-year-old may need to be more inventive in his side selection for the Toffees’ upcoming big encounter on Saturday.

David Moyes set to start Beto in Everton vs Leicester City

Before the window closes on Monday night, the Friedkins are trying to acquire a forward for Everton.

Due to Calvert-Lewin’s hamstring injury, Moyes’ options are severely limited, and the Toffees now only have one senior striker to choose from.

Despite the rumors circulating, Team Talk claims that Betho is not pursuing a move out of Goodison Park this month.

Beto has been offered a return to Serie A, and Torino has been eager to sign him this month.

Rather, Beto will start against Leicester on Saturday, giving him a significant chance to establish his value.

According to reports, Beto started watching Torino games earlier this month in order to get ready to transfer to Turin.

However, he is now set to become Everton’s main man in keeping them afloat of the relegation zone.

Beto has a point to prove

Moyes, 60, selected Calvert-Lewin as his starting striker as soon as he returned to Merseyside.

Although the choice paid off, Beto was still upset with Moyes for not choosing him over the Englishman.

But now, in his first Premier League start since the away trip to Manchester United eight weeks ago, it’s time to prove to Moyes and the Everton supporters what he is capable of.

After being called “underperforming” by Alan Myers in the summer, Beto now has an opportunity to prove himself.
