Three separate crashes halt traffic on the M4 Motorway
MOTORISTS using the M4 Motorway to get into the city are in for a rough morning after three separate accidents in
the space of 30 minutes choked the major thoroughfare to a standstill morning.
A truck ran over a man motorbike rider on the M4 this morning, seriously injuring him. The vehicle struck and ran
over the male rider just before six in the morning near the Beresford Road flyover. After experiencing on-scene
cardiac arrest, the rider was sent to Westmead Hospital in critical condition. The incident did not result in any

After three different accidents in 30 minutes reduced the main road to a stop, drivers use the M4 Motorway to enter
the city are in for a difficult morning.
The M4 citybound was closed due to a car and motorcycle collision near Beresford Road in Greystanes.
After the crash at 6:15 a.m., the motorcyclist was transported to Westmead Hospital.
About 7:15 a.m., an hour later, the M4 reopened.
Two of the four eastbound lanes in Granville were blocked at Church St. following an accident that left a van driver stranded at approximately 5:45 a.m.
Drivers were encouraged to use the Great Western Highway as a backup route and to factor in additional travel time.
Additionally, about six in the morning, two vehicles near Wentworthhville crashed as they approached the Cumberland Highway.
Traffic is still high because of the previous events, but the Wentworthville site has since been cleared.
Due to fallen wires, Botany Road is restricted southbound near Shirley Street in Sydney.
