Nottingham Forest will be looking at a variety of players before the transfer market closes on Monday night.

Nottingham Forest want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain is gaining attention from Premier League teams ahead of the deadline, as reported by O Medyem in Turkey.

Forest are considered to be one of those teams, along with Brentford, Crystal Palace, Wolves, and West Ham, according to the most recent story on the winger’s future.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is now playing for Turkish club Besiktas. However, he has fallen down the pecking order at his new team, making six appearances in 2024/25 and scoring one goal.

The 31-year-old has extensive Premier League experience, having previously played for Southampton, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Oxlade-Chamberlian has made 235 top-flight matches and scored 44 goals.

He has scored 20 Premier League goals, more than Callum Hudson-Odoi has in his whole career. The Forest man is now injured, and Oxlade-Chamberlain may be considered for a short-term deal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely to come to Forest.

From the perspective of the forest, this may appear unusual. Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered with injuries during his tenure in England, making his signing very hazardous.

At 31, he’s hardly a long-term option, and despite his tremendous experience, this feels like a step back for Forest.

The club worked hard in the transfer market this summer to improve the public impression. In reality, the previous two summer windows have been mostly favorable, and Forest will not want to undermine their hard work.

As a consequence, this seems like a lazy media link. Although Turkish stories can be taken with a grain of salt, Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely to visit the City Ground this month after winning the Champions League.
