Monza Initiate Talks with Lazio for Castrovilli Transfer.

Onza has emerged as one of the most active teams in the current transfer season, with aggressive movements in the market. After strengthening their defense, the Biancorossi are now focusing on improving their midfield options.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the club has contacted Lazio about a prospective deal for Gaetano Castrovilli. This season, the Italian midfielder has made only 10 appearances for Lazio in Serie A and Coppa Italia.

Castrovilli, who signed for Lazio on a free transfer from Fiorentina in the summer of 2024, has failed to establish himself as a regular in Marco Baroni’s side. His tenure in Rome has been hampered by injuries and uneven performances, prompting questions about his future with the club.

Lazio’s readiness to consider bids for Castrovilli shows that they may be prepared to split ways with the player. The 28-year-old’s contract with Lazio expires in June 2025, with an option for a two-year extension that the club is unlikely to activate given his current play.
