What Axel Disasi is insisting on right now amid Wolves transfer link

Wolves already moved to sign Emmanuel Agbadou, who already looks to be a strong addition for Vitor Pereira.

Wolves have made fresh bids for Kevin Danso, who looks to be back on the agenda at Molineux after he rejected a move to the club earlier in the window.

But it seems Lens won’t make it easy, and Will Still has also claimed Danso doesn’t want to leave.

Another player Wolves are in the hunt for is Axel Disasi, who has struggled for starts this season at Chelsea.

But this was perhaps always going to be a hard deal to do and this morning, Fabrizio Romano has dropped an ominous update.

Axel Disasi is ‘insisting’ on move to Aston Villa in blow for Wolves

Yesterday it was suggested that while Wolves were in the frame for Disasi, it was actually Aston Villa who were in pole position.

They were said to have agreed personal terms with the player, but no agreement is in place between the clubs.

That still gave Wolves a chance, but this morning renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has given some more information which suggests Disasi to Wolves is highly unlikely.

He said: “Despite reports on Wolves and more clubs keen, Axel Disasi insists on joining Aston Villa.

“He’s agreed personal terms, he spoke with Unai and wants the move, as exclusively revealed on Monday. Deal up to Chelsea and Villa now.”

Wolves must land another centre-back

With Villa having already agreed personal terms with Disasi, Wolves were always going to struggle to sign the player.

Given Romano’s information, it sounds like the player pretty much has his heart set on a move to Villa Park, and right now he can’t be blamed for that.

If there’s a chance he can get regular football there, he is never going to sign for Wolves, who are all over the place at the moment with the situation threatening to turn a bit toxic.

Wolves wanted to hand Pereira two new defensive recruits this month, and it’s paramount that someone else comes in on top of Agbadou.

Wolves have shipped 52 goals so far in the Premier League which is atrocious, and the need to further solidify is clear.

Lemina shocked fans earlier this month after refusing to play against Newcastle United.

Lemina – who was stripped of the captaincy earlier this season following a scuffle with Jarrod Bowen after the defeat to West Ham – was mysteriously left out against the Magpies.

Pereira then confirmed Lemina had refused to play against Newcastle.

Following that, Pereira then said Lemina won’t play for Wolves while the transfer window is still open.

That gives him the opportunity to sort out his future. In recent weeks, Lemina has been linked with Al-Shabab – but now a new club are in the frame to sign him.

Mario Lemina now linked with Torino transfer

Many Wolves fans have been very unhappy with Lemina’s behaviour in recent weeks.

With the club firmly in a relegation battle, many have been really disappointed with him.

Wolves are in poor form again, and having Lemina available would potentially have really helped over the last few games.

Yesterday, it was reported by Africa Foot that Lemina could now be set for a move to Italy, with Torino interested in the Gabon international.

They even quote Lemina as saying: “Everything can go very quickly in the coming days. Negotiations are continuing.”

Wolves need a replacement for Lemina

With his recent shenanigans, Wolves should be able to get rid of Lemina in the next few days.

He obviously no longer wants to be at the club, thus it is necessary to make it easier for him to go.

Wolves, however, cannot be overlooked either. Wolves definitely need to sign a successor for him if he is leaving.Wolves reportedly expressed interest in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, although it seems highly improbable.

Although Pereira has previously discussed the possibility of acquiring a strong midfield player, there haven’t been many transfer rumors involving players with this kind of profile.

We’ll have to wait and see, but Matt Hobbs and company are going to have a busy few days.
