Norwich City poised to sign midfielder with initial plans clarified

The midfield player is about to cross the border from Scotland to England to play for Norwich City. It is anticipated that he would initially join NCFC’s Under-21 team.

The 18-year-old Domeracki is predicted to have a successful career in the game. So far this season, he has made two appearances for Dundee United in the Scottish Challenge Cup.

According to the Pink Un’s most recent report on his wintertime status, he is expected to join with the Canaries before the January window closes. Prior to his planned transfer to Carrow Road, he reportedly finished his medical.

Norwich City won 5-1 at home to Swansea City last time out in an impressive result. They are sat in 11th place in the table and are five points off the play-offs.

Norwich City to sign Alan Domeracki

Domeracki has been on the books at Dundee United for his whole career to date.

He has risen up through their academy ranks and has been a regular for them at various different youth levels.

It will be a blow for the Scottish Premiership outfit to lose him, especially mid-way through a campaign.

He extended his deal back in 2023 and told their website at the time: “I’m proud to extend my contract at Dundee United Football Club. I’ve enjoyed my time here immensely so far and look forward to furthering my development. It’s important to work closely with the coaching and support staff at our St Andrews training base to grasp the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Meanwhile, their Academy Director Paul Cowie added: “He is a creative left-sided midfielder who has all the qualities to progress further in the game having been in the Academy for more than seven years.

“Patience has been the key in his recent development, however, Alan has the hunger and belief to work hard and exhaust all his opportunities both on and off the pitch, furthering his development.”

Norwich City could see Domeracki as someone who has the potential to break into their first-team down the line.

What now for Norwich City?

The Canaries have until the deadline on Monday 3rd February to get any final bits of business done.

They are back in league action this weekend with an away trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford.

Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side should be in confident mood after they hammered Swansea City as they look to close the gap on the top six.
