Finn Harps land striker Dara McGuinness who signs on from Stoke City FC

McGuinness has scored three goals for his nation as an Irish youth international. As he prepares to return to the

League of Ireland, he will wear the number nine this season.

Dara McGuinness, a striker for Stoke City FC, has been signed by Finn Harps.

Prior to relocating to Belvedere in Dublin, McGuinness started his career with his hometown team, St. Joseph’s FC.

Before joining Shamrock Rovers in 2020, where he played for their U17s, U19s, and Shamrock Rovers B, he briefly

attended the St. Pats Academy.

After that, in July 2022, the 20-year-old joined Stoke City, where he played in the Premier League 2 and briefly

loaned out to Leek Town FC.

McGuinness has scored three goals for his nation as an Irish youth international. In preparation for his comeback to

the League of Ireland, he will wear the number nine this season.

“I’m really happy to welcome Dara to the club,” said Darren Murphy, manager of Harps. He rose through the ranks

at Shamrock Rovers and St. Pats before joining Stoke City’s academy, demonstrating his tremendous potential.

He seems eager to get started right away at Finn Park, based on our conversation. He provides us with that extra

edge in that section of the pitch.

He also fits the description of the type of player my staff and I are trying to recruit for the football team. I’m thrilled

to have him signed up and am excited to collaborate with him this season.
