Scott Parker has cautioned that Burnley would not be pushed to panic purchase in the final days of the January transfer window.
The Clarets have signed three new players this month: Oliver Sonne, Ashley Barnes, and Jonjo Shelvey.
The team was connected with a transfer for Plymouth Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker, but he has since joined Championship rivals Middlesbrough.

When asked if the two exits provide room for new players, Parker replied: “We still have a big-ish squad, to be honest with you. There are still some numbers.
“January is always a rough month. This is an extremely difficult market. We don’t want to rush into anything, and neither do I.
“If there was anything we could do to enhance ourselves and blend in with this group, we would definitely attempt it.
“We have an exceptional set of lads here who have done outstandingly well. We’ll probably be more reactive to how things progress.
“Some players may depart, or they may not. Maybe something comes out of somewhere that is interesting, and we’ll look into it when the opportunity arrives.”
Ekdal and Delcroix have combined for just one substitute appearance this season.
CJ Egan-Riley and Maxime Esteve have an outstanding defensive record, and with John Egan and Joe Worrall in reserve, their game time at Turf Moor was always going to be restricted.
“We’re probably stocked pretty high in the back line, certainly centre-halves,” Parker conceded.
“It was certainly a moment when both players were coming off injuries from the previous year and needed minutes. I wasn’t able to guarantee specific minutes.
“I believe it was better for both the club and the players to travel and receive some minutes and football.
“We’ll keep an eye on how these players are doing out on loan and hopefully they get the minutes they want before we get them back in pre-season.”
