Paul Merson predicts a daring score for Tottenham versus. Leicester City. One star will lead to “many issues.”

Paul Merson has now made his prediction for Sunday’s matchup between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Although the Foxes are only two points from safety heading into their most recent match, their recent performance indicates they are unlikely to win the fight for survival this season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future at the King Power Stadium has been questioned after Leicester lost to Fulham two goals to nil last week, meaning they are now on a seven-game losing streak.

However, no decisions are likely to be made even if Leicester City loses on Sunday.

With just 10 more points than the Foxes, Tottenham started the weekend in 15th place in the English Premier League.

Paul Merson has now revealed his score prediction for the match and identified a significant danger for Leicester.
Only Southampton and Leicester have worse recent records than Tottenham, who have lost four of their previous five games and drawn one.
On the first weekend of the season, the two teams faced off and ended up drawing 1-1.

However, Merson now believes Leicester will win 2-1 when he makes his Sportskeeda prediction.

“I frequently watch Leicester play, and they have now lost seven games,” he remarked. Sometimes they get off to a strong start, but they simply can’t find the opening goal.

They lose it all in the second half after becoming discouraged at halftime. Leicester is a respectable team that is not being hammered like Southampton. They will start to produce better outcomes if they can figure out that opening goal in games.

“That is preventing them from moving forward at the moment; I’m not sure if it’s a confidence or concentration issue. Since Leicester is playing Tottenham, I think they still have a shot in the relegation fight, and this is the ideal matchup!

Given that Van Nistelrooy’s team has only scored two goals in their last seven league games, Merson’s prediction is quite audacious.

Following a strong start to 2024–25 with six league goals, Jamie Vardy has struggled for Leicester, coinciding with their decline in form.

The Sky Sports analyst, meanwhile, tipped Vardy to cause Spurs “a lot of problems” with his prediction.

“Jamie Vardy can cause them a lot of problems in this game, considering how Spurs play,” he stated. Leicester has a chance if they can ride their luck and Tottenham has a bad day, even if it’s simply in front of goal like it was against Ipswich earlier in the season.

“We might see a result that will set the cat among the pigeons if Leicester and Vardy can cause Tottenham any problems with their counterattack!”
